I'm getting behind as I prepare for my vacation. I'm taking off tonight and will be gone until the 22nd.
So, I'm gonna cheat and give you a couple shots for yesterday and today that were taken from a small plane I was in last summer. These images are still Alaska, but then next 5 days will be Michigan as that is where I am going to.

Feeling a little better today so will come and do some commenting later on..... My roses are getting a workout, and now have them hanging upside down for them to dry out, for another photo shoot.....

Day 11... Backsides
I'm in Seattle this week spending some time with my mom so today I took a break and got out to take a few shots... No time for doing much pp.

I don't think I can number them like others, e.g., "Day 15", since I'm then only up to Day 4. :)
But here are my next two, taken during my lunch break in my yard. I just got some extension tubes, even though I yearn for a true macro (I had tubes with my last camera and no macro).
But I do like the shallow DOF with tubes:
Just wondering if the additional sharpness of a true macro lens, like the Sigma 150mm, will be worth the extra $600! (Or $750 if I go with the Nikon 105mmVR.) I also think I need a longer lens, to get sufficient blur with a macro for BG or foreground elements.
Anyway, comments welcome on these...I'm trying to do less in PS and stick more with what I get from Lightroom. (Even the white frame comes from Lightroom.) |
