I don't get it. I threw this together at the last minute. I've worked days on other things that didn't break a five.

I'm pleased, of course. Just a little surprised. It's a nice birthday gift (I keep forgetting).

I'll never understand DPC voters...

Sometimes it all just comes together in the right way. The trick is to try and figure out why this one works and hopefully be able to duplicate some of that magic in the future.

I voted last night, then went back this morning to fine-tune.

"You have rated 122 of 123 images (99%) in this challenge.
You have given an average score of 5.3852."

Broken down, it looks like this:

34 4's
54 5's
12 6's
7 7's
6 8's
5 9's
3 10's

Was it just me who found quite a few good images that very loosely could relate to a game of any kind? I didn't heavily vote down for that (which I guess I should) but there were some that were definitely shoehorned.

I got a validation request woohoo!
At least my effort into this shot is recognized :)

I'm pretty sure that a wishlist check means that a user hopes to be able to purchase this image as a "Print". Or in other words it is on their "Wishlist" to buy.

My husband thinks that being barred from voting on your own image in a challenge hurts your score. I get his point of view. As some of you have noted, failure to vote on an image artificially inflates the other images so wouldn't it do the same for your own shot? My husband's remedy is to bar people from voting in challenges that they are entered in. He thinks it would keep things fair by stopping those people who give out low scores to artificially boost their own. I think this may be a good idea, what do you think?

Isn't skipping anything that is less than a five also skewing the vote? I will give a score of less than five, but also usually leave an explanatory comment.

You have a good point. My husband also pointed this out to me this morning.

It has been discussed numerous times, pros & cons...if you feel a need to bat it around some more you may want to open a new thread.

I believe this be a 6+ image however voters may disagree with me.

Still holding onto that 6? :-)

No complaint's from me. I know what I did wrong (I think)
But if I score a little bit better by the end of the week, I'll be in the land of Average in 5's! I wonder what that's like?
