Every time I edit my pictures in photoshop and I go to save for web all of the colour and definition in my pictures is lost. I was told that before i "save for web" i should go to Edit>convert to profile, so thats what i did.. when the window for "convert for profile" shows up it says that the source space profile source: is Adobe RBG (1998) and the Destination space profile is also Adobe RBG (1998).. i was told i should change the Destination space to sRBG.. but even when i do that once i save for web i change the size to 640 because i guess thats a good size for web.. then the pic still doesn't have the colour or definition it did when it was in photoshop. I'm working on a Macbook laptop with photoshop CS3. If anyone could help me out that would be amazing.. i've been trying to correct this for months. |

It's because you haven't calibrated your screen correctly. You can find alot of information on monitor calibration doing a google search.

I doubt it, as the image differs at stages of the game on the same monitor.
Make sure to set size and and resample prior to saving for web. Then PS CS3: Edit > Convert to Profile and convert until your dialog box looks like this:
[thumb]670800[/thumb]. Your Source Space will differ, but ignore that.
Here's a useful link, and here's another.

try looking at your image with proof colors checked. under view?
hmmm.. darnit now I'm gonna go have to look because I'm not sure I even named it right! :0P
here it is... view> proof setup> monitor RGB
I really don't know why sometimes the loss of color happens, I haven't figured it out yet but sometimes it works with converting to profile and sometimes it doesn't!!! |
