Four nice / useful comments - too bad the score is dipping from a high of 6.2....

One comment here, and have gone from 5.5xxx this morning to 4.8xxx currently. Yikes! This could be two sub 5's in a row.

Guess I'll have to get all 'Negative' about it. :-D

Ow ow ow.

This was 5.9 last night. No trolls. Just people who have different tastes than mine. (Like an itchy finger that feels better when scratched on the "1" button.)

Much more voting going on than on warm colours last week (40 votes at this stage), and to echo the comments of others, my score has been dropping for the last two hours. If the same pattern as the last two challenges continues, it will continue to drop in the next few hours.

It's funny how you when you think a shot of yours is going to do great, it totally falls flat. But on the other hand, when you take just a few minutes and rush a shot through that you think is ~ok~, it goes over 6. *insert raised eyebrow emoticon here*

I was expecting about 5.5, what a surprise!

Yep. Except for me I expected this shot to do exceptionally well and it hasn't. :(

Just looked at my entry using a loaner laptop while traveling and discoveed that the tones in my submission are especially sensitive to color calibration (most of my portfolio images don't look nearly so off). As a result, what looked wonderful at home (on a frequently calibrated monitor) can look dull and pedestrian on a different monitor. Graphic reminder of a topic that surfaces for discussion once in a while, and no effective way to deal with it other than avoid submitting such images. (Or - darned intrusion of an unwanted rational thought - maybe it would be getting rather low votes anyway).

don't feel bad- people think my subject is out of focus :) and its not- if they looked more carefully (i only got 3 comments tho- so maybe other people think it is in focus but aren't commenting on it? hrm...)

I guess my lucky streak had to run out at some point. Sitting on a 5.6.

I thought the top end of this challenge was much better than average....

(my) Stats: You have rated 377 of 378 images (100%) in this challenge.
You have commented on 2 images (1%) in this challenge.
You have given an average score of 5.8647.

5 - 10's
14 - 9's
34 - 8's
...

24 -3's
7 - 2's
2 - 1's

So, I made a point of voting higher than the score I've received on my image on images that were absolutely better than mine. It was an honor to cast my good vote for great images. (Sadly, the images which received my very few low votes really deserved the low score.)

hi bob
this can work both ways the voters monitor could be off
I am always a bit wary of marking an image down because of colour! I might comment on (over/under saturation, dull or toobright but I rarely take marks off it unless I have checked it on more than one monitor.) I also dont mark skys down in voting because we dont know unless the title tells us what time of day the pic was taken!

Is it time to start that run of 5s? You tried out a long run of 6+ scores and that seemed to work okay for ya...
