Hey lets make a team for the DPC olympics,
there are no Olympics without a Greek team

Let me know if you want to and if there are enough of us

I thought I saw a Greek Team around here when the first Olympic thing got started. I may be wrong though. ETA: I am definately wrong. Just went back and looked at original thread. No Greece. Thats anti Olympic. lol

I looked at this thread to see if someone wanted to meet up in Athens a few weeks from now and you're apparently in Tokyo. :-/

i think it is okay if they want to get names in for their teams. it doesnt start till july, we have plenty of time to tweak things and sort them out.

Ah memories... My T.A. for Mineralogy was fairly fresh over to Canada from Greece.

He was carrying a big stick during a field camp, and when asked why, he said, "It's to beat off the wild dogs."

And even though it was about 20 years ago, I still remember very clearly the long conversation he and I had as we were sitting on an outcrop of quartzite. He was trying so very patiently to get me to see the cordierite, which I couldn't find no matter how closely I put my nose to the rock. Finally I figured out he was actually saying quartzite, but to me his accent made it sound like cordierite. He saw I'd finally figured out what he was talking about, and probably just thought I was really stupid. Maybe not too far off anyway, LOL.

Sorry, just had to reminisce. :-)

my brother Iraklis is there, he'd be happy to go downtown Athens and show you around.

I have not followed dpc olympics but if there's a new round in july (as i get from above) i'm in.
