I keep picturing a MooMoo, slippers and curlers in her hair, and that's probably her walmart attire:)

Moomoo? Like a Bossie Cow maybe, lol? Or the big shapeless garment muumuu? Either way pretty damn funny!

Yeah, I didn't know how to spell it, I took a stab and butchered it. I was referring to the big shapeless garment, lol, muumuu's make me laugh.

He butchered Bossie the moo!(moo) :(

But yeah, she might even have to put in her false teeth for a trip to upscale Wal-Mart.

Hey, hang ON here.... C'mon people, you're assassinating this lady, and she has a perfectly valid point (at least in my opinion, LOL).

Let me give you an example: when I'm hanging around the house I wear those pants that are like pajama bottoms, you know? With pockets? And down the road a half mile is a convenience store? And if I run out of OJ or whatever, I'll just hop in the jeep and tool over there in slippers and "pajama bottoms" and grab my stuff, a quick in-and-out.

But I'd NEVER wear this "outfit" to the supermarket, see...?

Hrmmph... Makes sense to me...

I've been seen in a pink tutu (result of a lost bet) but there are no pictures of this sighting, that I am aware of anyway...

I never get in a vehicle wearing anything that I wouldn't want to be seen walking down the road in. I guess I remember that old advice about always wearing clean underwear in case I'm in an accident? :)

I always found the clean underwear suggestion ironic actually. If you think about it, if you get into an accident there is a high chance that you won't have clean underwear anymore anyway!

I know a lot of older women, namely my mother-in-law and her friends (all in the 78+ age bracket) who view Wal-Mart visits on more of a social level than just a trip to the grocery store. Their weekly trip there is planned and very regular, and a catastrophe if it's missed for just about any reason. They go as a small group, and do actually dress up and carry on about it. Their small town doesn't offer much in the way of things to do for them, so it's a way to get out of the house, socialize, and also buy the things they need. I'm quite sure that a lot of older ladies (and possibly men, or younger folks with less exciting opportunities for socialization) fall into this same category.

When I saw the picture of the article, the first person I thought of was my mother-in-law. BTW...she most definitely does not wear muumuus or curlers. :)
