he was a she, but did not go through with the whole operation. So he/she still has all her reporductive organs. He/she stopped taking the testostorne pills and resumed her periods.
So he is actually a she. |

now that u mention it thats whats on my tv. i keep my tv on all day just for bg noise and I hadnt paid attention till now what was on. I think its a wonderful story. hes preggers for al the right reasons (love and wanting a family with his wife) and I think becomming a celeb wasnt part of his plan.
I say bravo to him for being willing to go the extra mile knowing that being called a freak (sadly)might happen. I just wish they had called me..I woulda loved to be the one to get to shoot the belly shots! |

I agree. Until the point where they said he was a female for most of his life, I was in awe, but... So now he's famous for doing what other "women" do as a normal part of life. It almost seems set up. |

but I think this is different than just a woman having a baby. this is a woman that has felt like a man her entire life. she is legaly a man now. theres the story.

What a strange world we live in! A woman, who wants to be a man, gets pregnant, then claims to be a man??
Is this the decline of civilisation? We can no longer be sure who is who, who is doing what to who! Armageddon, here we come, recorded live of course for Oprah!
Perhaps I am just an old fool, but are there still men and women and do they do what I used to do when I was younger?? |

Just because SHE is a woman, but "thinks" SHE is a man, and we have the technology to change her (even though she hasn't-besides testosterone), still does not make this anymore different than any other woman having a baby to me.
I am a lesbian trapped in a mans body...doesn't mean that the gay and lesbian community will accept me. :)

Well, yes, in a way because he decided to keep his reproductive organs, and he made the decision to get pregnant, I feel like he brought whatever upon himself... but he is still being, according to his account in the article, discriminated against, which is sad.
A lot of what he is going through, I don't condone, but I do think that he should be able to have the medical treatment he and his family deserve. |

As far as I'm concerned, she has always been and will always be a female. It doesn't matter what surgery you have or what pills you take. It's a question of your chromosomes.
I feel really bad for the child that it will have such a messed-up mother. I hope the state will rescue the child from her and find it a loving home with emotionally and psychologically-stable and loving parents. I'm not saying the mother can't be loving, I'm saying that anyone who gets a sex change is clearly psychologically damaged (though not necessarily through any fault of their own). Don't accuse me of hate speech - that's a tired accusation anyway. I do not hate or even dislike the woman. I feel as bad for her as for any other mentally-ill person.
