I had a pretty hard day, so dinner was fast and easy.

I need fast and easy ... :-(
I like the pepper strips. At least on my monitor (and with my eyes) there seems to be a bit of a yellow cast which tends to "muddy" the colors a bit.
If you want, I'll show you how I'd adjust it when I get back from work ...

This is an Eton Mess.
Don't know if it's a recipe used much ouside of the UK. Basically a mixture of cream, strawberry yoghurt, chopped strawberries and crushed bits of meringue. you can use other fruits/flavours of youghurts as you see fit.

Marinaded Steak served with veg.
I forget what the marinade was now - I think there was lemon juice, thyme and garlic involved. Scrummy though. |

Sara did some baking the other day (while I was editing my ill-fated body parts shot) I came down in the middle and took some snaps.
Some of these are ginger biscuits, others are lemon flavoured. |

Gee, I hope that wasn't some kind of egg bread ... :-(
Here's how I'd adjust this -- notes in the image details.

You're welcome! I'm a little surprised. When I get back (I have to go to work again) I'll post the Curves control points so you can duplicate the effect on your original, and maybe screenshots.
There's a good article in the May '08 MacWorld magazine on using Curves to correct color casts (a coincidence, I swear!), though I use a slightly different method myself; it shows why Curves are one of the most powerful tools for color control, and offers some useful tricks (which I think also work with Levels if you use that adjustment).
==================
I see you were able to adjust it nicely without my help :-)
For everyone else ... note that the order in which adjustment layers are "stacked" makes a difference, and unfortunately, I combined the Red and Green Curves into a single adjustment layer:
1. RBG Curve: 11->15, 66->60
2. Blue Curve: 19->0, 46->25, 86->83
3a. Red Curve: 77->84
3b. Green Curve: 4->0, 60->56
I then applied the Unsharp Mask filter two times with the following settings:
a. 12%/48 dia/TH = 0
b. 66%/0.6 dia/TH = 5
The first enhances the overall contrast, while the second enhances edge detail.

Kinda late (ya think?), but I here's a few I shot with the recent macro and odd/even challenges half in mind, but didn't enter (and based on the way my entries of different subjects are faring, I probably should have picked one of these! lol)
I'm bummed I wasn't able to participate in this side challenge as I expected ... work and life conspired to interfere with my time. The healthy food challenge prompted me to pop back in here and check it out ... some real nice images here, which I plan to comment on soon as I can. |
