How about a photo, a portrait of a face to a person whom is in Jail. Looking through parallel bars. Hmmm, meets both challenges of "portrait" and "parallel lines." Can you summit the same photo to each separate challenges? Not that I really would do that. Just and interesting twist to this challenge(s). |

O, good idea. Now I can post a snapshot of my wife. |

I don't believe you can submit the exact same image, no, but there's nothing to stop you taking a number of versions of the same subject matter and submitting a similar but different image to each.
I don't think the voters would appreciate it though, although I can't see a problem with it myself, but there are certainly a small minority who look for excuses to mark down!
Funny thought though!

Thanks for the chuckle, Garlic :)
Actually I was thinking about this myself because it's very possible that one of the challenge subbmisions would fill the March free study.
This has been done before, where some one entered two challenges with essentially the same photo, he did end up getting a ribbon on one, but they were spetacular. It was a skylight shot as I recall, I'll try to hunt it down and post a link.

Thanks for the tip, it was helpful! I'll have to keep that one in mind. :) BTW, I don't suck. If this was true, then we all would suck. To each it's own. However, I would say admire some of your work. Happy shooting.

From the rules:
"A photograph may only be used in one challenge, even if it is cropped or altered differently to fit another challenge. Duplicate photos will be disqualified."
This rule does not prohibit your from taking two exposures of the same subject/scene and submitting each to a separate challenge (provided of course it falls within the dates for both challenge); however two entries may not be derived from the same original.
