My son Samuel just turned 6 months old today. We've been taking a picture of him on the 10th of each month on our La-Z-boy chair to see how he's growing. I upload a new pic on the 10th of the month.
Take a look:
La-Z-Boy project
I could take a picture of La-Z-Dad monthly but I just get fatter.

Awesome! Do you plan to continue on a monthly or yearly basis after his first birthday? I think this is a great project! |

thats cool...
a while back ago I saw somehing like this where this man took a self portriat of him self every year, then when he got married he would take one of him, then his wife, then when they had children he would take one of them also
he used a black background and used B/W film and it was really neat to see the changes in weight, hairstyles and the growing kids....
wish I could find that link

We have done the same thing with our Granddaughter every 23rd of the month. She lays, sits, or now stands trying to get down, in the rocking chair in her nursery with the Winnie the Pooh her dad got her when she was born. That is why I need a better camera... she does not sit still anymore and I get blurry shots! My daughter is doing a scrapbook with the photos from each month in a layout. It is a great idea that really does document a person's life. |

I love the La-Z-Boy project! I have a 4 month old daughter. I wish I had thought to do something like this from the beginning. I think I have about 1500 photographs of her so far though... |

that is sooooo cute! Very adorable baby. I once saw a docu film on a fotog that took a picture every day for three years of his infant baby & then put it together to show the progression of her growth. It was really cool!

Ok... that didn't work. Trying to learn how to post clickable thumbnails to photos in the portfolio... back to drawing board I guess.

What are you DOING to that boy? Month after month he looks like he's about to jump out of his skin! What is the "off camera" tease? |
