An American Idol Easter - Melinda Doolittle

We had Melinda Doolittle of American Idol fame at our church for worship today. I have never seen an episdoe of AI, but this woman can belt out a tune! Gave me chills to hear her sing My Redeemer Lives. This was my first big test of the new camera in an arena where I will be using it frequently, and I'm happy with the results.

Also, on the way to church this morning, at sunrise, I saw this verical column of light in the sky. As I got closer to church, the column of light was directly over the church. I was running a bit late, but still had to stop and take the shot.

Very nice. I watch American Idol and I always thought she should have won. How nice that you got to hear her amazing voice in person.

I agree I thought she should have won it as well. In fact I was really mad when she ended up 3rd place. She is a great singer.

She's also a very gracious person - taking a lot of time with kids and anyone wanting to hug her, shake her hand or just speak with her.

I used a borrowed 70-200 2.8 IS. I also had some with my new 17-55 2.8 IS that were nice.
