I am looking for some information. Location doesn't matter.
I have heard of photo shoots that are set up by studios for the public. Some studios will hire models and I assume the photogs pay a fee to come and shoot. Can anyone give me more information on these events or similar?

In my area there a lot of studios for rent advertised on Craigslist. Some provide models, most are just providing space.

There's an organisation called Photographers' Creative that does some things like that, among other training courses and studio services they offer - can't comment more than that, I've never been along. I've also seen it done a couple of times by photographers in adult/evening colleges; the first nude photography I did was in a "course" (1 day shoot, studio and model supplied, plus 2-hour briefing and follow-up sessions before and after) a photographer offered through an evening college near me.

| You can sign up for different model websites and they do alot of things like that (www.onemodelplace.com) is one of them. Or you can google Photography workshops to find alot of those. |

the local Austin strobist flickr group has done that ourselves a few times.
There are plenty of workshops across the country that also do this sort of thing.
