Just a few of them here.
The near 15-hour day was a bit brutal, but the results were so worth it, especially for the experience, as this was my first wedding to shoot.

All shot with the Canon 5D, the Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM or the Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L USM II, Canon 580EXII on stroboframe flip bracket. Custom white balance set at every scene change, and nearly all the shots were as simple as convert straight across, one click levels, crop & save.

Thanks to those on this site past & present, that made so much of this a possibility. Without the knowledge gained from the members and this site, I would never have risked shooting something that has no margin for oops. Ya'll ROCK!

Absolutely stunning Brad, but of course I expected no less from you. Hooray on your new career path, I wish you great success and happiness.

Very nice. Where are the B&G formals, though?

Nick shot those (hard to have 2 guys stand in same place and use the same soft box).
I did get some from a different vantage point and haven't even got to those yet.

We are going to get with the B&G in about a week for some location shots - THAT should be fun.

At work right now but I skimmed through end they look pretty amazing, nice work and I hope to page through them tonight. What software did you use for PP, lightroom?

Dammit Brad. I am trying to cook supper and I just couldn't stop clicking on the next picture! Thank you for posting all of em and what a fantastic job you have done. Bravo!

Gotta run, so I didn't get to see all of them. But what rapidly scanned through looked great!

If that was your first wedding Brad you have a long and lucrative career in weddings ahead of you. Very well done.

Thanks! Editing could have been done in Irfanview. Converted in Canon DPP default, opened in CS2, levels adjust, most not even cropped, bordered & saved. The quadtones obviously were tweaked, but no rotations were done in PP, just minor levels & resize.

Oh - had to share a hilarious moment:
(see the comment section) LMAO!

As every good comedian knows,
it's all about the timing...

WOW, those are amazing, great job on your first wedding. Those look like they were shot by a seasoned wedding photographer. Well done!!! How do you like the 5D? Its on my "maybe one day when I figure out what the hell am I doing" list.

Hi Brad,
yeah man, you did great! Plenty of album material there, nice and varied and compositionally perfect in most cases..

nice one!

Thanks again all,

Andrew - the 5D is really quite a fine piece of equipment. Saturday was really the first time I had a chance to really use one. Minor learning curve, but not bad. It just may well be on my list when I figure out what I'm doing too. I'm really torn between the 5D or 40D as my 2nd camera when the time comes. The slightly higher frames per second of the 40D and it's slightly better noise control are a big deal to me. One major downside to the 5D is it's limited use of lenses in a way. There are many very good EF-S lenses out there and they will not go on the 5D. I wanted to use my Canon 60mm macro on Sunday and couldn't. I know it's a minor thing, but it's still a limitation that can be overcome, but don't like the idea of being restricted in that manner.

Nice shots dude. The couple should be very pleased.

nice work Brad. That's a lot of frames :)

I especially liked the picture of the lady chewing that cake/roll thing and the bits of it stuck in her teeth but she has this look in her eyes that's warm and humourous. Funky stuff. You could probably use some as stock photos if you were that way inclined.

As for your 2nd camera, 5d mk2 should be out at Photokina in August i think... unless Canon decide to make me wait a bit more.

Cool shots though man.

That's really nice work, Brad. I especially love some of the dance floor shots, and the B/W conversions are super well done.

One thing I do notice that sticks with me a tad negatively is that you have a LOT of "skewed" shots, camera held at an angle, and they are basically all the exact same angle, and that grates on me a little bit. However, I imagine in their finished "book" they will have relatively few of those and they will be dispersed throughout the pages, so this probably isn't a real-world issue.

Yeah, I tend to favor one side being right-handed. The skews are all in-camera btw, and most all the pics have no crop done or just a very minor one. I'm just now starting to "play" with them. In regards to the book & slideshow, being as two of us were shooting and synched the cameras to the exact time on all 3 cams, sort order will be a bit easier if need.
