| After this challenge I have convince myself of one thing. I have tons of comments however my score is not stellar. Lots of those people who said they expect it to score high will be dissapointed lol. I am writing a mental note to avoid that style again :) |

I wish now that I had entered this challenge. My world was rocked last night with a terrible turn of events concerning the health of my dog, my best (and probably only) friend for the last 11 years. I had to put him down and let me tell you it is not an easy decision to make. Rest in peace Jed.

Oh, man.....condolences.
I hate to have to do that!
I'll give my critters an extra hug for ya.
I have a 15 year old cat that's on his last legs.
He's still reasonably okay, but no teeth, and he's got that scrawny, bony, old cat thing going on.
I have to cook him chicken and break it up for him.
He's perked up some since going that route.
Oh yeah......back on topic.....still happy.

CEJ, I'm so sorry! It is so hard to say goodbye to a friend. I hope your wonderful memories with Jed will provide some solace. |

Oh CEJ! I am so sad for your loss! I too have a beloved family member, my cocker spaniel, Lacey, that is 14 and a half, and although she seems to be doing pretty good, it takes alot more effort to keep her healthy, and every day we become more and more aware that it won't be too too long before we will have to say good-bye to her. I cry even thinking about it, and don't take a single day with her for granted.
Today, I'm shedding a tear for you!

Hi CEJ,
We had to have 2 of our dogs put down last year, so I know the anguish you are going through. It's a hard decision to make, but I like to think the right one. At least their suffering is over quickly and painlessly.
My thoughts are with you, remember the good times you had together and know you did the right thing.

I am so sorry to hear this. We've had to put a couple of animals down in the last couple of years, so I understand completely. This winter, I started a project to get at least one good picture of each pet. The dog is still young, but the cats both turned 19 yesterday, so there's some urgency. I used the dog for this challenge, one cat in the Eyes challenge, and I'm hoping to get the other cat in the next few weeks.
Oh. The dog isn't holding up her end (so to speak). She's dropped to 6.9 today. |

How fortunate for Jed that you were in his life until the very end to see his to his comfort and joy here on Earth and safe passage into his eternal place of rest. Every animal should be so blessed! My deepest sympathy for your loss and many warm wishes for your heart. |
