Is there any way that voting could be prohibited for the first 6 hours of the challenge? :). Seems this is when all the negative voting happens. lol.

Is it just me, or is the voting quite low so far? I have been able to roughly guage my score throughout the challenges, and I generally have an OK idea of what I would get. Obviously give or take a few points. But I really don't think my entry is that bad... And should you think it deserves a score lower than 4, please at least tell me why so that I can improve. Does anyone agree? Otherwise, what is the point of this site if everyone just gives comments on the really good pics. This is a place where we are meant to be able to improve our photography, and how can we do so if we just get low scores, and no tips or clues as to why. Any thoughts?

Mine is getting a loooow score to, as I knew it would. But as you can see by the comments here, people are expecting certain things to be photographed over and over, and ( by what I've seen)when that happens, scores tend to be real low for the "non-pro" looking pics.I almost didn't enter because I knew that would happen with my score but I am trying new things in PS and want to find out what is working or not working.Ever since I started trying new stuff my scores have been lower than when I didn't. But few comments too.I guess what I am getting at is just keep entering and some of the comments will help and by getting few comments, tells you something also....KEEP TRYING!

P.S.The past few entries I have gotten a 3 right off the bat so I think someone starts out by giving most of us a real low score to make us feel good! AKA....TROLL

Will keep trying. The frustration here is that I do this for the love of photography, and to improve my skills and eye. It always seems to be the first voters though who put spanners in the works. My scores generally start low then gradually increase. I just find this strange. Thanks for your thoughts though.

I've dropped down to a 2.2XXX

What's the lowest scoring challenge entry ever ? Am I going to replace it ?

My own trend also seems to be starting out really low and then climbing and plateauing around a certain point. It seems like the low voters and high voters tend to come out at different times, and the low voters usually come out really early. (first voter on this one gave me a 6, though) I have not figured out what the link is, though. Perhaps it is that the people who put more thought into their votes tend to take longer to get to it. I know that in my own case, I do a lot of commenting, but sometimes do not get around to voting/commenting a challenge till the last couple of days.

ok.. what did I miss? I have been gone for a bit , then I come back and post a pic that everywhere else is doing great and I am below a 5 here. Then I go vote on the challenge and 90 percent of the pictures are out of focus, snapshots, completely unrelated to the challenge or plain old jokes. And what is up with the dead stuff. I am sure there is something going on I am not aware of. It sucks not to be let in on the joke. Someone enlighten me please....

I guess my 4.4 is about average low then. I think a lot of people are not so good with the idea of peace being the opposite of war. Then again, they probably don't know they've been born...

About half a dozen to a dozen consider peace as the opposite of war. I can't vote. I left one mean comment.
