I'm totally ignorant when it comes to most plants. I took this shot a few years ago, and just reworked some of it. Could someone please tell me what kind it is so that I can give it an appropriate title? Thanks.

Well, my first guess I think may be correct. It looks like some sort of Hibiscus? |

My wife says it is a Rose Mallow or Swamp Mallow Hibiscus. There are so many different varieties... but try Googling either of those, and you'll see a bazillion different pics. |

Here's one more. This one I really don't have a clue. It was fairly low to the ground, and large. The bloom was probably 7-8" across. Any help would be appreciated.

Okay... she says it looks like a version of Gaillardia (or Blanket flower). |
