Here is the images that I have taken of the baby Doves. Two little Doves hatched and grew into fully feathered Doves, and have now have left the nest flying free like a bird.

Enjoy.....

Left the nest on the 31-1-2008.....

I will really miss my feathered friends.....

Post note. You have no idea how hard it was for me to take photos of thise little birds. They nested in a hanging basket, hanging in my tropical garden fernery, under our back verandah.

The height of the basket would be at least 6 feet. I am only four feet tall.

I treid a ladder, but the ground was uneven and soft and I fell off that on day one.

Next time, I tried to use a strong square table that my budgie cage sat on, but needed a small stool as well, I had to put the stool, on top of the tabke, to get the hieght I needed to take photos.

I also useded a small chair to get up onto the table, and also a towel was on the table to stop the stool from moving.

It was hard but so worth it.....

So cute! Last summer we had a nest of robins in the tree right outside my bedroom window. Our bedroom is on the second floor, so they were high up in the tree, but we had a perfect view of them right outside our window. I used to get up every morning and check on the birds very first thing. I had so much fun watching the mother bird take care of them and I was so sad when they finally flew away. I did get some fun pictures of them in the meantime though, and I'm really hoping that a new family moves in this year!
