CP, wow I looked at your port and it has to be the weather that makes your birds do what they do up there. Does it ever get any warmer than Minus 406580245 up there, whenever I have flown over it, it always seems to be covered in snow.
But seriously, it looks amazing up there, I am so going there. (Well, when it is a tad warmer)

Well, that's the whole POINT isn't it? You come here, you get a personal chef and a tour guide. You'd be, I think, the 6th DPCer to show up at my door...

Vegas is a great destination. Really cheap flights. Tons of national parks within easy driving distance. Cheap, cheap rental cars.
Last rental I had there was for 4 days and cost me $33 total. 2.5 hours drive gets you to Zion national park. Or Death Valley if you head over to California. the whole of southern Utah is national parks: Zion, Bryce, Canyonlands, the list goes on and on. The Grand Canyon is right there too. |

Then I saw that it was like MINUS 94867984672094820948 degrees. Unless I am skiing, I am a wimp (too many hot days have thinned my blood!) |
Its about -1 degree Celsius right now (33 F?). A lot colder than you are used to I suppose but not really that bad. I'd love to go to Churchill, Manitoba so I can see the polar bears. Its um...-29 degrees celsius there today. (-20 F). With windchill its -45 (-49 degrees F).
-1 degree Celsius suddenly seems quite balmy...
Seriously though, spring time in Alberta is quite moderate. (60-70 F I think). Maybe not quite as warm as spring in Arizona but you won't freeze to death. Anyways... :)

You wouldn't see many bears at this time of year anyway. They're all out on the ice. (unless of course they're in jail in Churchill).
There are day trips to Churchill out of Calgary and Edmonton in late October to see the bears before they go out on the ice. |
