Soooo, I took this picture Friday, while driving to Oregon, I took it off the side of the freeway, so unplanned but the pinks and purples of the sunset on the side of Mt. Shasta called me. :P
I have tried. (and tried...and tried) to edit this to really capture the colors that I saw but I am still realllllllllly so new at this that I'm just getting really frustrated with it. Could someone give me suggestions, or show me what to do?

EDITED TO ASK:
Or, is the quality/lighting/etc. just not good enough to really get something better out of it? (won't hurt my feelings, I was on the side of the road with 70mph traffic zooming by LOL)

Here is my take on it. All I did was clip the levels a little, saturated it a bit and made the shadow not so dark and cropped a bit off top and bottom.

Do you have Picasa2? If not give it try. I actually use it for most of my images for easy basic fixes and sorting. |

Thanks everyone for the responses!!
Monique, you did a lovely job, I really appreciate your vision and editing. Thanks so much.
Smurfguy, I like the black and white take, that never occurred to me because I was wrapped up in the sunset colors, which you also captured quite well, too. thank you for your help.
echoman, I do not have Picasa2, I will check it out. I use PSP XI for my PP. Off to google it ;)

Yeah I use PSP X2 as well but use Picasa2 for all the basic stuff.
Picasa is actually free from Google. |

Hope you don't mind, but I gave this a shot.
I also did a levels adjustment, saturation, and used match color, then a shadow highlight adjustment.
