This is absolutely outstanding work and very inspiring. I would love to take poratrits that are as spectacular as these.
I wonder though (he says, opening the can of worms carefully...) what the anti-advancedEditing DPCers would say about his work. As it says on his site to emphasize the distinction between subject and background, he selectively tones the prints with KODAK Sepia Toner.
So it looks to me like this fantastic photographer would dismissed by many (not by me though...) here because he employed a selective editting technique. hmmmm. :)

I've been at aww of his photos for 3 hours now. I really can't stop thinking about his work. All I can say is, I wish my pictures could have a fraction of the power that his do.
