I really like the third one Jason.
The way the tomb looms above with the light falling across it - the trees acting as sentinels. Makes this more emotional.
Here (hopefully I did the links right this time) are some I took recently.. same theme.

Thanks Karen. Yours are lovely as well. I like your first one the best. I prefer the simple elegance of the single red flower to the multicolored bouquet in the second. I also love how the tilt of the frame (probably the hillside too) goes perfectly with the tilt of the flower. The flower is also incredibly crisp.
Cemetary shots really are a great time to use the color desaturation technique, huh? :) |

I like the second "Red" very much what method did you use to retain the red color - selective desaturation or cloning / erasing

Selective desaturation. Just dropped everything besides red since it was the only red thing. There may still be a hint of red in the tone though, I can't tell. It didn't actually change much; the lighting was pretty harsh and all the colors were very dull shades of dirty greenish-brown anyway so I was happy to be rid of them. |
