I was playing around with a laser pointer trying to get a shot last night and one of my cats definitely invaded the shot... Cute little bugger, but I didn't capture his best side...

Sometimes they make fun of you and sometime they just ignore you

I've got plenty of cat pictures outside the studio, which are more or less easy to take, but this is the only studio setup that I've taken with a cat. It wasn't easy either. :-)

Here's my little Abel - I managed to sneak up on him as he surveyed his kingdom!

I find whistling gets their attention pretty well, but only gives me a split second!

My little Cain had just woken up - he's very tolerant of me!

Edit - no studio, so no studio shots, but I've found (first pic) the TV makes a good backdrop!

Be careful! I have a hunch he's MUCH less tolerant of Abel.

ALL animals can be pretty hard!

My hyper little dogs are tough to keep still, but when distracted, in a trance, or asleep, they can be lovely.

... but sometimes you get lucky.

It looks like a few of us should start a group for owners of black cats.

This is Monster.

His sister Jordan also lives with us. She's all black too.

Usually, I have to bring the studio to the cat (well my make shift studio) but with these shots the cat made the trip. However, once it got there all it wanted to do was sit and not move.

Louie looks just like my cat Caspian.
He is a very expensive cat - and in early Dec was a very poorly one, and he is now minus one spleen and I am minus nearly £750! So my 40D savings, which were all but complete, are no longer, but I do have a happy, mas, playful cat again.

:P They 'play' a little rough sometimes, but I think they generally get along. Most the time they wake up my partner. I keep telling him he should have picked friendlier names...!

This is a couple of years old. The result of the one (and only) time I ever try to photograph a kitten.
