Im going traveling around Italy early next year See this thread, I am interested in selling the pictures i get from the trip. anyone know of any company's, organisations, People etc i should approach?

anyone done anything like this before?

Why not take the pictures for your enjoyment.

If you're looking to make money from it, I would suggest getting a film body also to record the once-in-a-life-time trip.

Then you can scan the negatives for bigger resolution.

I haven't done it before, but you could always market to stock sites. I think they have enough snap shots of Italy tho.

Agreed on both points. I thought most stock sites had a 10mp requirement on all images though....

You can always see who prints the travel brochures and go from there, but from my understanding they go through agencies for that, or stock sites, which leads me back to the problem above.

And if you want the best image you can get, go medium format and scan them in. That way you can get 300mp images.

Yes, and a fun way to go medium format would be with a:
Rolleicord
Yashica MAT 124G
Ciro-flex

I went the cheap route and got the Ciro-flex for $25. Beats putting $3,000 into a real medium format system only to find I didn't like it.

I went even cheaper and bought a Holga for $24.99!

I'll probably go for a Bronica at some point within the next decade though. after my 5D of course.
