Object Isolation by Contrast entries are up in the results thread. Congrats to Gnarf for a personal top 5, and to wildcard for running away with the top score! |

Told ya Don, you're getting dangerously good at this stuff. But I'd be just a WEE bit nervous if Timfy is fav'ing your shots... :-) (Just kiddin' Tim!)
Oh, and Bucket is mad at me now. All your fault... :P |

The newest challenge - Rivers and Streams....
HA HA HA HA!!!! Too funny. This'll be three straight challenges I'm out. Ah well. Surely one of the next opens will be do-able. :-) |

I hear the next member's challenge will be "sand and more sand". :)

I'm hoping (keeping all appendages crossed) that MAYBE by the time the next member challenge closes, I'll be back in Germany. And if at that point they want to have a sand challenge, well that'll be just fine by me and I'll delightfully sit it out, too. |

I'm crossing all my appendages for you too, I hope it helps 'cos it's going to make my photos really sucky. |

Took the kids to the Zoo yesterday, and came back with a handful of photos that I liked enough to put up here.

Happy birthday Rob! Hope you have a great day!
Lea, looks like you had fun at the zoo!
Deb, if they announce a sand challenge after you go back to Germany, you could always head to a local playground! I have all crossed for you too!
Don, what's up with your FS? Have you been "unwell"? LOL!

Lea, some very nice shots from the zoo. Looks cold, though!
Rob, Happy Birthday! I take it you're still Rob, and not Bruce. Or Steve.
Our Fearless Leader did leave a nice comment on my FS entry. Helps take the sting out quite well, thanks.
And Bobbie - 'grats on the Contrast shot - very lovely indeed! |

Happy Birthday Rob ! I hope it's a great day for you.
Deb - it was actually quite a mild day for this time of year - hovering right on the freezing mark. It's actually unseasonably warm today at 8ºC (about 47ºF)

I hear quoting one's self is the first sign of senility... but I thought I'd add that while waiting in line at the post office today, I read the very long list of things that you can't mail, and that list includes dirt, sand, and rocks. So no filling up the empty souvenir Coke bottle (in Arabic) with sand and sending it home. Rumor has it customs won't let you carry it in your luggage either.
Hate to tell these guys, but we carry home a good bit of sand with us anyway. I can't wait for a real honest-to-goodness bath!

Lea, I love the zoo pics.
Rob, Happy Birthday!Have a wonderful day.
And Deb thank you, I love that shot and wouldn't love it any less if it had sucked but it's nice that I accidentally pleased the voters this time. :D I'm still grinning like a cheshire cat at all the comments. |

No, I'm Bruce.
Steve is Steve.
Rob is Rob.
Robert is Robert.
Though I was a bit confused when I started from the bottom of the thread and everyone was wishing me (as Rob, which I guess I am, too) Happy Birthday. Two thoughts: eight days late; and, how did you all find out. But now I've got it, I'm back to being Bruce, wishing RobM a very Happy Birthday today, and thanking him again for always posting the team scores!
Best,
Bruce
P.S. Deb, keeping my thumb pressed for your safe and quick return to Germany.

Happy Birthday Bruce!
Just sitting here while car getting fixed, she got pranged a week ago - front sidelight killed by someone backing up. Nope I wasn't in car!
Sounds like most of us are off to agood start this year...I know this time last year my life was a wreck and TS was one of the few places where I could find happiness ...and oh yeah, have met someone new who is into reiki/healing energy etc. He doesn't do distance healing yet, still has 2 years of school left before he's done...but he's really managed to help me get centred/grounded.
BTW thyroid MRI last week...hmm...no nodes, no asymmetry in thyroid proper, it feels really good, metabolism ratcheting back up to normal about 95% better now, when it was bad I had only 70% of normal energy...
OK I've got my Nikon with me,lots of atmospheric fog around today, plan to do some shooting!! |

Oh I'm so jealous of anyone with fog, I've managed to shoot in the fog once and I had to get up at 4am to catch it. We get about 3 foggy mornings a year but it's all gone by about 6.30 it's most uncivilised. Please post photos of your fog. |
