check out this page on the Olympus SP-560 UZ, was totally thinking about picking this up instead of a standard point and shoot cause it has a 27-486mm equiv. lens but i looked at the specs and under the FPS i know its low quality but, 15 frames per second, up to 40 frames. SQ2 mode prolly 800x600 im assuming? thats amaizing, i wish my e-500 could shoot that fast! lousy piece of 2.5 crap...:P i just assume to buy a new lense or teliconverter for the e-500, then i look really perfessional when im all in my camo walkin the river banks and people are looking at me yellin WHAT ARE YOU DOING?? HE HAS A GUN!!!!! then the cops show up and wonder why im laughing. just thought id share this with you. :) later Jimbs!

the 15 FPS is for 1600x1200 resolution images.

I saw that. There isn't much quality to play with, but i suppose this would be handy for small newspaper shots, or blog pages or for parents doing their kids sports days or whatever. Obviously doesn't have much pro usage at those dimensions, but 15 fps is pushing the envelope.

Please help educate us doddering old people. I thought "I just abot filled my pants" meant you were scared. What do you mean it to mean?

Why not? I thought doddering old people love nothing more than to discuss their digestive production with people who really don't want to hear.

I think dis-belief is also a popular meaning for this phrase. And since we're mostly old farts, asking questions like this and keeping the young kids off our lawn is pretty much all we have to do! ;)

Well, you could cash in your pension and buy a 1dsIII and upset some young folk by asking how to switch it into the 'creative' mode to take some landscapes. That's never going to get old, apparently.

I'd calmly say "I'll show you" and take the camera, press a few buttons, knock the old dude over and start running.

As for "filling one's pants" it can be in excitement. Picture a small yippy dog, unable to contain himself at the sight of visitors.
