Probably, but since this is a portrait challenge and not a fashion/glamour shoot it really shouldn't. I know I won't be voting high anything that just shows the skin deep variety. Character and personality is demanded in a portraiture. |
I'm going with the unpretty theme I think. Not sure yet, but at least that will be easier :P |

Ah, but it's advanced editing. You can edit a few years off; after all, the description did say to be creative ;-)
I'm in. I usually hate pictures of myself (I like being behind the camera!) but this one is definitely me. For better or worse! |

I now have a great photo for the 'Seeing the Unseen' challenge also. God I hate it when this happens.
I entered the Self Portrait challenge but now I just don't know which I should go for. Aaaaahhhhhhhh.
OK, so I'll show all my workmates and ask which one they think is the best. They are my critique club. haha. |

Personally - if I had a great shot for both I would enter the challenge that has the fewer entries. You know there will be a ton of great shots in SP that you will have to duke it out with, but odds are there will be not nearly as many in the other one.

Well, I'm going to enter, but I'm not sure I should.
The shot I wanted (a reshoot of a mistake I made last year and didn't notice until I pulled it up on my computer) just didn't happen - weather and lighting conditions were against me. Shots I took for other reasons this weekend are not even shoehorn-able, lol.
And even w/ the advanced editing, the shots I tried of me in the mirror are awful - I look about 20 years older and ill. lol |

Actually yes - I used it for some shots I almost used in street smarts. I still need practice w/ it, lol. The mirror shots were just something I thought of after my shower one night. And was horrified when I saw the results, lol.
The "mistake" I made was when I was doing some macros of a horse's eye, in some of the best shots, there I was w/ my camera - right in the center of the iris! lol I had hoped to get another like that (which reflects my interests in horses and photography - not to mention puns), but neither the weather nor the animals were cooperative.
So I've entered something else entirely, which while I sort of like (and may use for my profile when the challenge is over) will most likely score very low.
Edited to add the Street Smarts pics (of my leg) -

Of course I have just submitted the winning shot, so no worries everyone the pressure is off. I am UBERSEXY in this image.
