COOL! Did you get it on TiVO or something, a way to preserve it for posterity?!
BTW, there was at least one non-US photog involved. :-)

Yaaaaaaa!!!! Glad to hear of the coverage, and expect lots more as we go. I'm working on a couple ideas that don't seem to have been covered yet; more info after I talk it out with miss jojo.
Leroy, please keep us posted - not because of coverage, but about her condition.

More then one  Quigley and dknourek are form Canada,  Monique64 is from down under and I think the rest of you are from the USA is this right because I'm putting the finishing touches on the press realease and I don't want to miss anyone.
So if I'm wrong please correct me.

YAAA!!! I contacted 3 other newspapers today & a few local websites too; even got a few leads on TV stuff (keep your fingers crossed!)
Um, you may have to come to the campus for a photo (not to TAKE it, silly!) - more details later!
Everyone - try doing an online search of your local city + 'forum'. You might make some new friends, AND help spread the word about the calendar! :)

| Great News guys!! My husband works for Mr. President Clinton and the Clinton Foundation has picked up this story as well. So tomorrow I will find out what they want to do. They may want to order for their own purposes as well. |

I am going to talk to them tomorrow and see what they want to do. Clinton is here tomorrow and Friday, and I am thinking MAYBE I can get his endorsement, or have him get Hillary's (since she is a woman.....) The Clinton Foundation likes to help out with things like this, it makes Clinton look good..... Anyway, my hubby is the project manager for his Pres. Library. |

Two of these are my overseas relatives, one from Holland and one from either Canada or America (dads cousin so I'm not sure as she used to live in Canada but was moving) |

| Oh and the press release appeared in a paper today where my mum, the cancer survivor of November lives. I will copy and post into this thread later on today. They printed the photo as is (included the pink) and used the press release. My mum is sending it to me via email, as I can wait to see it and also sending me the original. |

Local Funny Couple Donate Time to a Serious Cause
Orillia, Ontario – November 29, 2007 - Local couple Sharon and Jim Foster are featured in a soon-to-be published international breast cancer awareness calendar. Members of the website DP Challenge adopted the project in October of this year – Breast Cancer Awareness month. The call to capture images of survivors went out to photographers across the globe. Orillian Max Durnford’s image of the Fosters was chosen for the back cover of the calendar.
Durnford’s first choice of a model was a high school friend, who tragically passed away from the disease before she could pose for the image.
He then approached the Fosters, who immediately agreed to pose. Sharon Foster shared the motto that saw her and Jim through her cancer treatments, and which is now featured on the calendar page: “Love and laughter help keep you on this side of the sod!”
The calendar features images from the US, Canada and Australia. Proceeds from the sale of the calendar will go to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, the world’s largest network of breast cancer survivors, dedicated to curing the disease.
Calendars can be ordered directly from Max Durnford, at maxdc@rogers.com, for $15.00. They can also be ordered online (with an additional shipping and handling charge) at //calendarsforthecure.blogspot.com.
