| The Garage Art challenge was my first and now that it's over I notice that my profile says "Challenges Entered: 0." Anybody know why that is or when it gets updated? |

Actually, Paul's answer is partially correct.
Your profile statistics are "cleared" at that time. And as long as no one looks at your profile, your statistics remain "uncalculated". But as soon as somebody clicks on your profile, your stats are computed, and then they are cached for the remainder of the week. This is a two-pronged approach to maximize performance: statistics are not needlessly re-calculated for profiles that are never viewed, and by caching them once a profile has been viewed, no further intensive database queries are required to display the stats for further views.
This is one of the reasons the site is a little slower very early Monday mornings: the profile stat caches have been cleared, and anytime somebody views a profile, the stats have to calculated "from scratch." As more and more profiles are viewed, more are more queries can be satisfied from the cache.

I just joined the free agent pool and noticed that it shows me as entering 4 challenges with an average of 4.6...But I've entered 6 challenges & the symmetry challenge and my average is 4.9
Why are my stats so low on the free agent page? |
