There are many great games for the Xbox, Left for Dead is awesome I heard, but that game is definitely another run and gunner. I wish Valve would just make Half Life 3 already, seems like Co-ops are popular these days. I really enjoyed Resident Evil 5 and the online Co-op, although it did lack puzzles. But man, after playing Killzone 2 its become impossible to play any other shooter. It's tactical, there are cutomizable kits and winning requires squad based teamwork. You place your own spawn points, place ammo depots, its like the Chess of online shooters. Oh, and those graphics!

counter strike ( half life ) was and still is a great game... !

you can pick up 'the orange box' for around $10 US for xbox of course

funny you guys would mention Counter Strike. My friends and I were just discussing how cool it would be if they would come out with a new version of it for the 360, We used to have a blast playing that game online as a team against the bots.

well the orange box for 360 does have team fortress 2. about as close as you can get w/o being able to MOD the games...

well memorial day weekend, and our drums busted last night... actually they were acting up last weekend too - but usable.

we have the rock band 2 wireless set. the blue pad stopped responding altogether. nothing no matter how hard you pounded on it.

this morning i took them apart. i had already taken the RB1 set apart prior - but the wireless ones are a little different.

basically i carefully got my fingers under the upper part of the drum pad ( all the way below the rubber pad retaining ring ) right about where each rubber plug snaps them into place - to the base. you can see a couple of them on the blue pad on the underside of the set.

there are two wires that feed each pad. and they connect to a sensor thingy on the underside of the pad, and are supposedly soldered to a mini PC board on the drum inside the base.

one of the wires had broken where it was soldered. i couldn't figure out ( w/o taking all the pads apart ) how to get at the soldered joint to re-solder. and they are tiny wires ( like phone cable size )...

to make the repair ( and i don't how long it will hold up ) done some testing - and the blue pad seems to work fine.

i used a computer PC board cable. one that fits a two pin connection - sort of like a jumper - but electrically isolates each side. something like a motherboard fan connection cable....

i stripped the busted wire, and one lead from the hacked cable, and spliced the two together.

on the back side of the mini PC board the wire had been soldered to, is a two prong set of leads... so i slide the hacked cable onto the leads - leaving the one still soldered wire attached as original. WHAMMO - fixed drums... :)

it's not the tightest fit - and that is what makes me wonder. but so far so good.

what i dont get is why they don't use a plug connection from the factory. i took apart the main controls ( where all the buttons are housed ) and most of those connections are plug in connections. yet ion the area that actually gets beaten with a stick - they used tiny soldered connections... ?

anyhow - maybe this will be some help to others who have a busted pad on their RB drums...

PM me if you have specific Q's about the fix...

It's a very rare game that I enjoyed as a 3D platformer after loving it as a 2D Scroller.

Mario64 is perhaps one of the only ones I can think of.

quake2 with the grapple was the closest thing since the original bionic commando... and i put a LOT of hours into Q2 !

i thought Q3 kinda sucked...

WOW I just watched the E3 xbox pressconference on the internet and they have some amazing games and xbox stuff coming out this year. The last thing they showed was just awesome and then they also have Metal Gear Solid now which was a PS3 exclusive thats another exclusive they have now.
