My friends and I race in PGR4 quite a bit. One day while I was at a friends house he turned on the tv and showed me replays of some of our races and pointed out all the times i crashed him. Now I know why he wipes me out every chance he gets.

| I want to start up a challenge at //360voice.gamerdna.com/ soon. Sign up there if you want to compete. It basically keeps track of the change in your gamer score over the month and declares one person "the person with no life who spends all day playing xbox". So if you want that title join in the fun! |

Your RRoD was probably just the power surge RRoD which isn't actually the real one, but you can fake it anytime you want but turning the plug off and on again very quickly. Handy for "proving" to Microsoft that you've got the RRoD and they need to fix your Xbox for free even if its just some other random error.
When I got a graphics card error I fixed mine every night for 3 months by repeatedly wrapping it in a towel until it overheated. After 3 months I got fed up doing that and just pretended it was RRoD and sent it off for a free repair :)

Instead of fixing mine (after it had already been fixed the week before) again, they sent me a new one. |

havent been on the xbox too much lately... i'll try harder. think i logged like 50+ days straight though. then weather got better : )
got a crazy new phone thats been sucking up my interest... and i got it free !!!
had a blackberry storm - but the video camera on the initial release is bunk. BB storm is a sweet phone though. overall.
ETA: BTW DPC sucks on mobile phone browsers ! :)

i'm running opera....
on the blackberry i tried opera, and whatever the dafualt RIM browser is. not sure. spent WAY too much time at the verizon store dealing with the blackberry...
FWIW - if anyone is considering a blackberry storm - the video camera doesnt work. it locks up - at a random time during recording, and potentially locks the phone. BUT - if you don't press the pause button on the touch screen - and use the actual back button - you might save a batery pull and 5+ minute reboot - and maybe have a useable saved recording.

one of the issues with the original xbox360's ( not sure they have actually resolved it ) is the way they mounted the heat sync's to the CPU/GPU's
they are clamped down via an x-clamp. the clamps go through the PC board and are mounted together on top and bottom of the PC board. when the unit gets hot - the connection between the heat syncs, and the CPU/GPU's are comprimised - because the expansion rates of the metal clamps, and bolts that hold the clamps togther and the PC board are different...
sooo - the heat sync peels away from the CPU/GPU's due to a warping of the board - caused by the clamps... the unit over heats - causing a red ring of death.
so cooking the xbox - so to speak - heats up the thermal goo between the heat sync and the CPU/GPU's allowing the heat from the CPU/GPU's to be disipated through the heat sync - like it is supposed to. temporary fix...
