i need the frame rate the the 20d can give me for sports but is worth it? cause i can get a body for about 400-500$ and i would sell my body for close to that.

If you need the frame rate then its worth it.

You could also look at the 30D. Similar to the 20d (I understand) but has a larger screen (like the Xti) and spot metering.
