I've got the chance to try a Speedlite Transmitter. I have it in my hand, or rather attached to the camera. Now what?

Do you have any canon flashes ?

Yes, I have the Canon 580EX and I discovered my problem. Helps to set the flash to slave!! Thanks for your reply!

Yup, they need to be in slave mode.

Indoors it usually doesn't have a problem firing, but sometimes outdoors the flash doesn't "see" the I/R beam as easy and might not fire (depending on distance and other variables). It helps outdoors to have the front of the body of the flash (with red plastic) aimed at the camera while turning the head in the direction of your subject, or into an umbrella, etc.
