......with each and every one of you....seriously, just felt this needed to be said after the last 12 hours or so of the forums. i have learned much in my 1 yr here but still have alot more to learn (as you can tell by my shots) and i look forward to it, lets get back to the task at hand and have fun with our artistic passion!

YAY! Such a great post.
I've learned a lot too; just recently there have been certain improvements that have made me pretty happy. I wouldn't have EVER been able to do it without the people here! |

Jason, what a great post and perhaps something that we should say more often. I have learnt so much from DPC and met some pretty wonderful people along the way as well. I also have to say that I feel your first 6 is just around the corner (woohoo I got mine this week after some 50+ challenges). Last point is that the fact that you have done things like the 100% comments challenge (on several occasions) means that the glory of DPC is down to people like yourself

Yea ok but you still can̢۪t have my Coors light, no really you can have it, but Coors light in Utah is water, serious no alcohol, no flavor, just yellow water with bubbles.
Well my first year is in the books, and I think I will sign up for another year of mental abuse at the hands of voters. But seriously I have learned a lot, and look forward to my second yearâ€Â¦ |

Well said Jason.
I don't think the last 12 hours made anyone look good - even those who set off with good intent.
In the last year that I've been here this site has shown itself repeatedly to be a genuinely caring site, accomodating all sorts of different people and views, who are brought together by shared interests and passions, lightly tempered with a sense of fun.
It's a good place and I am also looking forward to my second year here.

Funny you should say so because my "beginning of the end entry" is sitting just above a 6 and i think it will stay there! woo-hoo!

hey jason .. great you started something positive as a balance to the forum/s your talking about ..
i havent looked but it sounds like a real shame if ppl are having problems with each other .. & its very easy to be misunderstood when we communicate thru writing ..
but i'll add my 2 cents worth and say that i've learnt so much in the last year .. not only with my photography but photoshop as well .. in fact both those activities have now become my new problem behaviours !!! .. so thanks DPC for the raging obsession .. i need treatment !!:)
the upside is that i've met a WHOLE HEAP of excellent ppl ..
I'VE GOTTA SAY THAT DPC AND THE PPL IN IT HAVE CHANGED MY LIFE .. in a very positive way ..

Through DPC I have met people who I would never have known, most of them great.
Through DPC I have learned about Photography. It is a fact that as a result of DPC and the members, everything I know today is in some way due to DPC.
DPC also taught me a lot about the coldness of the internet as a medium, a lot about not to ever again fall in the trap as to think this is a real world or THE real world. It is not. I learned that the hard way.........
....and found real life in photography per se.
So yea, DPC changed my life too.
