Sometimes one reads threads without knowing where the thread lives (what section it's in). Currently, the forum section is displayed at the top of any thread page in the breadcrumb links. In long threads, the forum section is not readily seen, and one has to navigate to the top of the web page to see it, which kind of disrupts the flow of reading.
An easy way to tell which section a thread one is reading is in would be to put it in the page's tags. Right now, we see "Thread Title - DPChallenge Forums". It might make more sense to see "Section Title - Thread Title - DPChallenge Forums". If that's too long, drop the "DPChallenge Forums", which isn't really needed anyway.
E.g., the browser could show the title of the pages of this thread as "Web Site Suggestions - Add forum section to web page title". |

Why do you think it's important to know what forum section a particular thread is in while you are reading the replies? I'm not clear on what the intended advantage is. |

I always want to know what forum section I'm reading. It's relevant to me to know if I'm reading something in Business, Photo discussion, General, or Rant, and it's useful if something has been moved. More information is always useful. I understand that the breadcrumbs show the section, but for reasons already mentioned, they're not always visible. |

Bump, because with all the threads being moved around, I get confused. I'd love to see this done. |

The webpage title is NOT the place for this. Another solution might be possible, but the title is already quite long with the name of the thread in there.
Perhaps adding the "breadcrumbs" to the bottom as well will help.

But those forum sections are already very short. If they took out the "DPChallenge Forums" part of the title, as I suggested, it would work out I think. But maybe the breadcrumbing could be put somewhere more accessible - like an iframe or something at the top, where the menu could also go. Hey, there's a thought. :P |
