OK...I haven't printed many pictures since I bought my Olympus. I have printed a few though and they were fine. I'm going to a scrapbooking weekend so I loaded up a disk with 300 pictures and took them to Walgreens to get them printed. All the photos I took with my old camera came out fine but the ones with my new camera all have a green tint.
I didn't have CS2 with my old camera either so I'm wondering if I have some settings wrong. They look fine to me on my monitor and they looked fine on the monitor at walgreens. If anyone has any suggestions I would sure appreciate it.

If they looked fine on the monitor at Walgreens ... then their printer is having trouble. Have Walgreens reprint them!

That's what I was thinking but it seems weird that it's only the newer photos that have the green tint.

If you printed up photos from both cameras at the same time, and only the set from the one camera was green, then it is probably not the fault of the printer.

I wonder if the printer is picking up an embedded colour profile from the newer photos?

I'm lost! Would that mean I have some setting wrong either on my camera or on CS2?

I would still blame Walgreens. The operator should be doing color corrections there.

And besides, if the photos looked good on "their" monitor, then you should be able to trust what you're going to get out of it. I think it'd be an easy argument to win. Take the photos back. Show what they look like on their monitor. Then request that they be reprinted.

Yeah I'll do that. I was just wondering what was going on. I thought it was just random at first but then noticed all the shots that were taken with the Minolta were fine.

Yeah... most of us are lost when it comes to colour profiles! It's embedded into the EXIF of a shot and indicates what sort of colour range or gamut should be used to display or print the shot (e.g. sRGB IEC61966-2.1, Adobe RGB and Windows RGB are common ones) It's supposed to help match the camera colours with the monitor's colours with the printer's colour range. To be honest, I don't have a clue where or how the profile gets embedded or changed!

I'd go with dwterry's advice. Let Walgreens sort out their own colour profile problems... :)
