How do you transport the love of your life from place to place, I mean your camera? Also, I am looking for a larger case than I have now. It has to be able to accomodate and f717 camera, a seperate flash unit (hvl f1000) and a few filters. I also want it to be able to carry, my battery charger, and all wires. And I want room in it for the new waterproof baggy thing im getting for it. It has to have some padding. What do you use/reccomend?

I've actually gone to two cases - one for my waterproof case, monopod, extra batteries, chargers, lenses, etc. and a small one to hold my camera, a couple filters, table pod and lens pen (cleaner). I decided to do this after getting a neck/shoulder ache from carrying the big bag! This way I leave my larger bag in the car and always have my other stuff available, but keep the necessities for taking pix in the small bag.

I carry mine around in one of those square lunch bag things. It holds the camera, lens, two peanut flashes, lens cleaning supplies, 4 filters in a case, extra batteries, a small translucent reflector and sometimes a small tripod. It's padded, waterproof and most important, not obvious.
I've thought about buying a real bag, but this works so well I haven't wanted to change it yet. Maybe this summer I'll buy one for backpacking. |

well i have a nice case, but often find camera on my neck and one lens in each pocket is easiest and lightest, tho recently someone had my telephoto lens in their pocket and it fell out and into a gorge into rapidly flowing glacier water, the lesson here is make sure the pockets are very deep or have zippers....bye bye tele lens.... |

You might want to look at the Lowepro.com website. They have bags and backpacks to fit just about any need you might have. I use a Lowepro Backpack that has fit any variety of camera, lens, filter, etc. that I feel willing to lug along. It takes just a little persistance to navigate the site. |

I got a very nice generic brand backpack case at Circuit City for my Digital Rebel. Really nice. It's like the Tamerac bags but was only $39.99. I have walked through downpours with it into my work place and everything inside stayed perfectly dry.
It isn't real big but it holds all of my stuff very nicely. It has the little stretchy pouch things on the side made of a mesh like material and then a water resistant zipper area on the front. It's a black and gray color tone.
I carry in it:
- My Digital Rebel w/Kit Lens and battery grip attached (one of the few bags I found that was deep enough for this)
- Canon 75 - 300mm Zoom Lens
- Battery Charger and Cord
- Many Filters (Macro, UV, Polarizing, etc.)
- 420EX Speedlite Flash in it's carrying case
- Lumiquest Pocket Bounder
- Cameras Instruction Manuals
This is all I can think of off the top of my head but I also throw magazines and things in sometimes to tote around. I currently have nothing in the front zipper area so there is even more room for something.
It has a really nice soft lining inside and plenty of the adjustable Velcro separators.
Hope this help! I didn't see this bag on circuitcity.com but they do have it in the store still (at least locally they do).
Found A Link For It. This Shows you how it looks.

I carry my camera over my shoulder.
I also carry my camera bag with the other lenses, CF cards, filters, etc. The monopod is tied to the underside of the bag. If I take my tripod, it has it's own bag.
So three seperate items if I am taking everything. |

I'm sort of like Kaycee - 2 "bags" now. I have a nice big camera bag that will hold my 10D and my 707, as well as all lens, filters, etc., but after much searching, finally got a Vera Bradley quilted bag to carry around with me everywhere - I usually carry the 10D, couple of lens, filters, as well as my PDA, glasses, and other small personal stuff, which all fits into pockets around the edges. I love this setup because the new bag is about 9 1/2 deep and 4 1/2 inches wide, and is perfect for just reaching in and grabbing the camera quickly. It also zips shut easily. Guys might not be too crazy about the bags, but for the girls, I highly recommend it. I carry it now instead of a purse, and leave the large bag in the car all the time.

I have a Lowepro that I've outgrown, if you know what I mean. I like it, I've had it for a year and it looks like i just pulled out of the wrapper. I need to get another one, and it will probably be a Lowepro as well.
