He has written some incredible lyrics and has sung some amazing songs. Might be fun to interpret his work visually. |

I love the man's work... I was born on the same date and hence named after him... I would be down for this challenge without a doubt. |

Came across this whilst checking out my sons work (Dylan) Dylan recently sent me a canon camera for my birthday and I will endevour to take some shots that show how i feel about Bob Dylans work. Anyone thought of trying to shoot something to 'Joker man' would love to see what comes from that song. Anyway from someone who grew up with Dylans music i commend you on this challenge. |

While I love Dylan's lyrics and music, I'm afraid of the challenge it would pose to come close to matching it with visual poetry. Or the pain of having to witness literal and despriptive derivatives. |

Whoa! And get this - I am sitting at my computer, reading a thread about Bob Dylan in my hometown! What are the odds?
:P just razzin. I don't even know where his hometown is.
So..... DID he die?

"at age 65, the oldest living person to top those charts"
I'd say he's still very much alive! |

"I knew a man, his brain was so small,
He couldn't think of nothing at all.
He's not the same as you and me.
He doesn't dig poetry. He's so unhip that
When you say Dylan, he thinks you're talking about Dylan Thomas,
Whoever he was.
The man ain't got no culture"
Oh, that Dylan. Not the one who wrote about Llareggub. ;-Þ |

Dear Art
Hibbing, Minnesota
I have waited a year and a half for a thread where I knew an answer, so I'll pretend it was a question.
I am reading this thread in England, while sitting looking at my beloved ticket stub and programme from the May 27 1966 show at the Royal Albert Hall. |

Just because you like my stuff doesn't mean I owe you anything. ~ Bob Dylan
I figure, interpret away...he probably would be the first to say, don't take it so seriously...

Just for clarification, the above lyric was written by Paul Simon, from his song A Simple Desultory Philippic |
