Well at least there's a fan base and people are aware of the Cubs existence. Can't say the same about their southtown brethren. The Chicago White Sox and their fan base is more theory then fact.

I knew they would do better against Philly than San Diego would have. They have a good chance to beat Arizona too. Rockies are now what- seventeen wins in their last eighteen games? Amazing. If they did not have a stretch in July where they lost four or five games on walk off homeruns in games they were ahead in the last inning they could have won the division outright.

All the experts picked Philly to go to the World Series. So now all the experts are picking AZ. Looks like all the experts are wrong again. Rockies will stomp AZ and send them back to their little adobe huts for the winter. |

So now they are 17-1 in their last 18 games? That's kind of good.

You can think that but it will be almost 5 days before they play again. And the experts believe, because of the layoff, the MOJO will be gone and I agree. So think what you will (Albeit wrong) the D-Backs are going all the way!

Holy shit.
HOLY SHIT.
My brain exploded this week.
My beloved Phillies, swept by the Rockies.
I applaud the rockies though. Both teams have turned it up in the last few weeks of the season, but the Rockies were just the better team this time around.
The Phillies had an amazing season. Theyve played better then they have in 14 years. They broke the streak, they made the post season. I dont think I have ever been happier wathcing sports then watching the Phightin' go completely ape shit after Brett Myers threw the final out of the regular season.
But now is not the time to cry (although I did have tears in my eyes last night when the final out was recorded), its time for the office to re-sign Uncle Charlie for another year - he earned it. Its time for them to get out there and get some bull pen pithcing, and another closer, as well as another power starter in the rotaation. And its time for them to solidify their infield with a full time 3rd basemen, and to maintain their outfield by re-signing Aarron Rowand.
Thanks for the best season of baseball Ive ever seen and for giving me some memories that Ill pass on to my kids (the spawn that shall inherit the earth) Ill say it for Jimmy - THE PHILLIES WILL BE THE TEAM TO BEAT AGAIN IN NATIONAL LEAGUE EAST.

You wish. 5 Days will only make them stronger. They are going to come back rested and then their supreme talent will rule. Rockies beat them 10 times this year. We own AZ. Maybe we will call it Colorado Jr. when we take it over after the Rocks pound them into the dry cracked desert soil.
I am just glad the Broncos are not facing the Cardinals. Now that would be embarrassing.

Yankees win game 3 so no sweep there. Rockies have had fantastic pitching. They added to that when they were allowed to increase the rosters in September. Timely hitting too. Matsui is a big help these days.
Arizona faces the same four days off the Colorado does so that should not be a factor. Colorado is ready to play and confident. I still say Rockies in the World Series. Won't sweep Arizona, but will beat them.

And the Indians take it. Here's hoping they can stomp the Red Sox and take it all the way. Ditto to AZ taking care of the Rockies.

*snicker!*
We seem to have a way of attracting game drama lately.
Holliday's controversial slide for home.
The lights went out at Coors Field.
Tonight there was the wackiness with Upton taking out Matsui and getting called for interference to which the AZ fans reacted with the longest and loudest booing session I've ever heard and pelted the outfielders with full water bottles and other debris.
Matsui pegged himself in the foot with his own foul ball.
The botched slide into second that resulted in the last out of the game.
How much weirder can it get? Oy!
