"PHOENIX (AP) -Brandon Webb is a quiet Kentuckian, Carlos Zambrano an emotional Venezuelan.

Their common bond is talent, and their duel in the desert on Wednesday night will go a long way toward determining the outcome of the division series between Webb's Arizona Diamondbacks and Zambrano's Chicago Cubs.
"

Wish I had tickets just might get some yet.

That was one AMAZING game. Sat through all 4+ hours of it. He didn't touch the plate, but it was about time to end it. I'm sure they all just wanted to go home. :)

I'm going to go ahead and cheer on Cleveland and whoever is playing the Cubs. :P All because neither the Brewers or the Twins made the playoffs. :(

Might want to root for a team that will last more than 3 games into the playoffs don't you think? ;)

Please note that that says I'm NOT cheering for the Cubs... :D

But the Yankees probably will cream the Indians, oh well.

I love the guys in the stand with the 1908. They need to do that every game! The T-shirts that said "The Windy City Blows" was pretty cool too!

You are so right.
There is no chance that the team tied with the most wins in baseball has hopes of winning one game.
Two Cy Young candidates have no chance against the invincible yankees.

We'll know in about 8 hours I guess.

Oh they have a chance. Not like NY hasn't choked before but if they play anything close to the level they have been playing it should be a sweep. Add in the fact that they have swept the last 8 games they have played against Cleveland and have hit both of their cy young candidates very hard the times they have faced them it shouldn't seem all that far fetch that a sweep is most likely. That said, the Yanks are off to a slow start. Still plenty of time though.

Btw, am I the only one who is already annoyed by that camera man who jogs side by side with the player whenever they hit a home run? The crotch shot POV he's apparently after shouldn't trump my viewing experience.

Ok a Yankee sweep isn't going to happen. :/ Ok lets get back to talking about the Rockies which is the topic of this thread. :P

Looks like if the streak last one more game we will not even need to discuss the Philies unless we need a cheese steak.

I now want the Rockies to win it all, if for no other reason than this:

//sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3049388

Pure Class.

They interviewed Mrs Coolbaugh on the radio here last week....had to turn it off, or would of had to pull over the truck. Talking about how she explains where daddy is and the like. Very sad

...

Well, Fausto only faced them once this year and CC hasn't faced the Yanks in over 3 years.

Hell no you aren't the only one!
That guy looks like a tool.
They should program AIBO the Honda robot to run instead.
Poor fat camera man has hard times keeping up.

Indians/Rockies World Series :D

Honestly, anytime you hear them interviewed, even before this hot streak, you got the idea that they were a classy bunch. You don't play on the league's worst teams for the glory - it's all about how much you love baseball. This latest gesture just proves it further.

Is TBS using sound effects when a pitch hits the cather's mitt or when a batter swings? I've never heard those sounds before while watching or attending a baseball game. Very annoying.

Doubt it. They are doing the Fox Sports annoying "MICROPHONE AND CAMERA EVERYWHERE" school of broadcasting. I could hear the umpire calling a ball last night (as if he were right there, not distant), because they didn't turn it off in time.
