Greetings again...

How often you you try something 'strange' with yor camera? When was the last time you intentionally over exposed a photograph? When was the last time you intentionally rotated your camera 45 degrees for a photo? When was the last time you covered the end of your lens with plastic wrap before making a photo? When was the last time you made a photo in the rain? When was the last time you shook your tripod while making a long exposure? When was the last time you changed your zoom length during a long exposure? When was the last time you made a photo through the front window of your moving car? When was the last time you intentionally used incorrect white balance? When was the last time you intentionally shot something out of focus? When was the last time you photographed your finished dinner plate? When was the last time you photographed tire tracks in the snow? When was the last time you photographed someone's feet?

Just some food for thought...

hm. well i could probably answer in the affirmative to pretty much most of those scenarios, but then again i'm just weird. ;)

my favorite rain shot tho, is this rainbow--shot from the top of the dock with a friend holding a raincoat over my head.

now, if we could only get some snow... ;)

You want snow! How about some cold (-35°C) to go with that. Careful what you wish. It just might come true. ;-)

Incorrect white balance to get the blue tint

Zoom while long exposure

It's fun to live outside the box sometimes!

Kind of the idea behind my current project. See this thread

I publish a Photo Of The Day on my site every day, in addition to whatever I am adding to the galleries - and as Mario says - at 40 below you need to be imaginative as most outdoor photography is closed for the season.

This is my daughter's shadow puppet - she's wonderfully helpful, I must say - up for all sorts of strange things :)

Thanks John - great thread.
