I think it would be an interesting addition to the site to create user 'journals' where photographers could keep a 'diary' of sorts related to their photography activities. The user could choose to make the journal publically viewable or private. Example fields:

Date:
Time:
Subject:
Journal Entry:

The user's journal could be accessed via their profile page...

Just a thought...

Sounds good. All my shots come in fits and starts so I always end up with a series anyway. It may actually help trying to focus on some more 'deliberate' shots too.

Nice place to share the deeper thoughts behind pics, tech and methods.

John, you may want to try submitting to the BBC's site for photo assignments.

It could make for some nice, high-profile coverage. Shame they don't offer the opportunity for comments from viewers though - it helps to know what people think, and how they were influenced by a shot.
