Hey all,
I have a friend who is shooting a Nikon D200, and when we were reviewing images (in camera), this message came up on the LCD: File does not contain image data.
We took the CF card out and looked at the shots on the computer and they all look fine, and there are no other files on the CF card. We were thinking that maybe it was some kind of data file, and there is a file called NIKON001.DSC, but it is not in the DCIM file, or the image data folder but is at the top level (ie: is listed next to the DCIM folder).
Have any of you Nikon dudes or dudesses had this message show up??

You could save the images on the computer then format the card in the camera

| One of my batteries sometimes slips a little and cuts off power. If the camera is writing the file, it stops writing. When I review the files on the camera, I'll get that message. It's sitting on the card but doesn't download when I put the card in the reader. This pertains to the d1x. |

| I've had that happen a couple times with my D200, but I don't know why it happens, and I haven't worried about it. However, I wouldn't mind knowing why it happens. |

Yeah, D50 does that do. I 've lost a photo that way. I thought it was the memory card, formatted and it went away. Camera glitch or failing card? I'd like to know, too.
