Greetings...
I'm giving a talk to the 2nd year photography students at my local community college later this semester about matting/framing/archival techniques. I'm planning to take several of my own framed prints to show, but I'm also looking for photos of additional framing techniques to show on a narrated slideshow to this class.
If you have some photography framed that is beyond 'standard' technique, I would love to have photos of that framed work to show and discuss in this class...
Thanks :)

There are many photo framing software programs which show samples of photos framed with ideas you can see before actually framing.

I guess I don't understand what you mean by "beyond 'standard' technique". Can you elaborate? If I have anything that will be of use, I'll gladly share. |

I'm looking something other than simple frames with single/double mat configurations. I'm looking for examples of floating images, mat spacers, fillets, stacked mouldings, and anything else that is above the average framing technique.

Does this fit the bill?
It's something I made about a year ago. 5 generations, all on the mothers side. Sorry for my reflection in the glass... I am not sure how to avoid that, if you tell me how I will attempt a better shot. |

Could you remove the glass?

Well considering the photo's are on 3 layers of glass, removing the glass would remove the pix as well. |
