I didn't want to post yet another thread asking for photography business name suggestions but as a last resort here I am.
I have used countless name generators and all of them pretty much suck. I really don't want to use any part of my name because I can't be really asscoiated with it. Here are some of the themes or ideas I have had.
Southwest
High Desert
Focal
Focus
yeah I know pretty limited so far. Just need any input even if it doesn't seem sane at this point. I will take any suggestion I can. |

I'm a little confused - you can't be associated with your own business?
I figure I'm missing something here...

Moon-lighting on yourself ? ;o)
I vote for High Desert Focal... has a nice ring to it. Get it ? Focal. Ring. Oh... nevermind. |

I'd stay away from the word "focal" - not many people automatically connect it with photography and I've seen it misspelled on business cards as "fecal" more than once. ...come to think of it, one of those times "fecal photography" actually fit better.
And yeah, what's the story? What's wrong with Dust Devil Photography? How about "No Hair Photography" - I could assist. :) |

Well I am 100% disabled fromt he VA and SSI so it probrably wouldnt look good to have a business named Charles Cooks pictures. Even though it could just be cook photo and singsunshine (my wife) would be the techincal owner. I just would rather avoid the hassle all together.

Yeah I have thought of High Desert as well or even something mesa like.
My website is mainly just a portfolio. I need to get a business licenses and form an LLC. Thats mainly the name I am looking for even though I will have to have some sort of web presense.
Definately some good ideas. And I think Art is right...focal could easily be miss spelled and most people wouldn't associate focal with anything. They may even mistake it for floral around here.
I am trying to get the devil out of the name cause this is the large indian reservation in the US so devil really doesn't work very well. Now maybe skin walker photography has a better ring to it. But I don't think they would get it. |

Thank everyone for all of your input. I will get alot of jeers and jokes about the name we picked. But I had to pick something. We used IN-FOCUS Photography. Which their are only 100 of them that I know of.
On a Side note I had to register a domain name and I screwed up pretty bad and registered IN-FOSUC Photography. So Basically INFO SUC :). I am sure to make more money at that than photography. |
