There are 942 photos in voting between now and 7th August. I was wondering whether there was any milage in the idea of extending Free Study voting to cover, say, a two week period - or even have it run throughthe whole of the following month. There are always some real crackers of photos in the Free Study, and it seems such a shame that voters inevitably end up rushing through, just to get scores in by the end of the week. Views?

There have a zillion threads discussing this in the past, so you're not alone in thinking about it.

The upshot is that people argue that the number of votes doesn't matter much beyond 100 or so. Then someone posts that they fondly remember when 100 votes was a high number.

Then there's a statistical debate, and then someone mentions the one time there was a two-week window, and voting pretty much stopped after the first week.

Then someone reminds everyone they only need to vote on 20% for it to count, which touches off a debate where many people say they want to vote for 100% or not vote, to which others reply that's your choice.

Let's see ... that's all I can remember off the top of my head. :)
