I recently got back for a holiday trip to Peru and visited Paracas (3-hours south of Lima). The wildlife there was absolutely astonishing. Granted it's not my primary interest, I decided to become a nature photographer for the week. Here are some of my favorites....
(By the way, they are all available as prints)
As always, comments, criticisms, suggestions, and praise are welcome. |

Good shots. Those were very obedient seagulls, all lining up like that for you!

I promised them each a fish if they behaved. Of course, once I got the shot, I ran and hid. Boy did they ever take their revenge on my car. Good thing it was a rental. |

I really like your shots Trinch. Maybe you should consider making Nature photography a major interest, or at least a minor. |

You've got a great eye! I like all of them, but I like the pelican the best:
A wondrous bird is the pelican.
His beak can hold more than his belly can.

Hey--have you tried that shot in B/W? It looks like a good candidate because of the lovely tones in the shot.

Thanks for the kinds words and suggestions. dsidwell, I took you advice an adjusted the levels on the Paracas Cliffs picture. It looks much better now. Thanks.
And in regards to my 'great eye', I can't really take credit for that. The location was so amazing that you could give a camera to a 2-yo, tell him/her what button to push, and they'd come out with equally impressive shots. There was so much wildlife and scenic views that it would be impossible not to leave with a few choice photos. |
