NO SPOILLERS!

Just read no 6 in one day.
Bought 3 copies of the number seven. Wife and two kids.
I'm still an hour or so away from getting my hands on it.
Can't wait
I know it's sad, but i love them!

YES

I second Cindi's yes!
I accidentally bought the first one, thinking it was something else, and haven't been able to put any of them down

Well, I just finished reading mine (took about 7-8 hours to finish). Very good book. Even had me almost crying in two spots. The ending actual was pretty good.

She definately made it almost imposible to come out with any other books. She could but I doubt it.

It was hell at work today, my colleagues all found spoilers on wikipedia and were constantly threatening to tell me what happened if I didn't do stuff for them, knowing perfectly well that it would actually have ruined my life. Fortunately, with the help of the 'hands over the ears "LA LA LA I'M NOT LISTENING!"' technique I managed to escape still unaware of the plot ending, and have now just read it cover to cover, taking about 4-5 hours. What an emotional rollercoaster. I nearly cried at one point. I am drained now. I must rest...

We are waiting for our "Guaranteed or Free" delivery from Amazon.com. It's 7:10 pm and I don't think it's coming. Amazon posted that people would get them throughout the day, as late as 7 pm. But the tracking notice doesn't say out for delivery. It arrived in Latham at UPS yesterday, and doesn't show anything after that.

My daughter is ready to kill me now.

Bought my wife a copy, I don't really care for it. I guess I'm free to do what I want the rest of the weekend!:o)

I hear that! I've been free to listen to music, edit photos for a contest, drink beer, watch tv...she's just sitting on the sun porch turning pages.

smartypants' was here at about 10:00 am this morning, as promised, Amazon order. Neil, you got screwed buddy.

She had some friends over today, spent the day hanging out. After supper, she announced it was Harry Potter time and disappeared into a living room overstuffed chair. I haven't heard a peep since.

I read the first three with her years ago, and thought they were OK. I ran out of steam sometime into the fourth and was never able to finish it and never went back. I enjoyed the first movie, and have seen some of the subsequent movies, but I'd have to say, I don't have the "potter gene." I'm enjoying watching from the sidelines though.

I have to agree, the first movie was good the second not bad after that I haven't been really a fan. Never read the books.

That's strange. The wife and I really didn't like the first movie that much. So far though we like this last one the best.

Well, as I suspected, it didn't come. And now it won't come until Monday. I'm the evil Dad for the weekend. I know it doesn't matter; but I think that's pretty evil and stupid of Amazon. Clearly this wasn't put in the right batch for Saturday delivery.

And the irony is that I didn't put anything else in the order in case that screwed up the delivery; as a result, I paid 3.99 shipping (I could have just added about anything for $7 and it would have been free shipping! That's because I promised my daughter up and down it would be here on time. I figured there was no way Amazon wanted to eat the cost.

Also: FWIW, my daughter is 18 years old, an adult by most standards! She's disappointed and mad but it's not like I just demolished the dreams of a 10 year old. That would be nuclear ;)
