Not me - I have yellow skin with freckles. But then I also have green eyes. The blue-eyed redheads can have the skin tone you're describing. |

Robert-I agree with you and I think they're all good edits for different purposes.
I've been looking at Kevin Major Howards head shot work and see a likeness in his work to what Brad did. Ultimately that's what I'd like to wind up with even after a re-shoot.
Here's a faster link to his Portfolio
I took that shot in less than 30 seconds, right after she cleared a table, placed an order and dropped two checks. So I was surprised that without some powder, lipstick... light eye liner, that it was even close to being a usable head shot, not to mention the total rush. I honestly just wanted to see how she looked in that light. No more, no less.
For my ususal type of portrait stuff the more atmospheric is cool. I think the bright pop works well if used for a head shot.
Again, they're ALL good.

are you just copying the thumbnail perhaps? open the original pic and save that one. it should be 640 pixels wide... |

How about this one, done solely with a product called Portrait Professional (no manual editing in Photoshop).
Before: After:
You can see that PP is doing some "face sculpting" here. Kind of interesting if your model doesn't mind the makeover.

Well, this one looks done to death, but for future reference we'd love it if you submitted shots like this over at PPChallenge.com... Lots of folks will edit it, and we'll all vote DPC-style! Of course, Brad will own you over there, too. =)

Oh I dunno about that! There's some serious talent mingling about over there.
There's even some smurf thing gaining ground big time.

Okay my color version that I edited at work earlier has been bugging me all day. Now that I'm at home in a more relaxed setting here's what I've come up with.
This is fun, hope you all like it.

Again, thak you all for chiming in...never too late either. After a few PMs and studying all that you've done, I've learned a lot. I'm probably going to invest in Power Retouche. It seems like it has some of the more delicate, specialized plug-ins that PS doesn't for this type of work.
Cheers to you all.
