Nice shot, here is my thoughts

- Less black at the bottom. Not a lot less but like 2/3s of what you have there.
- More contrast in the clouds.
- Maybe crop it to loose the yellow light on the right.

Note: these are not criticisms but rather what I think I would do with the photo. It looks pretty good as is.

I think the idea here is very strong, especially the mood content of the photo. Your message is obvious and well-executed. Can you post some of your other photos from this shoot? Your exploration of the idea may have yielded some additional images that support your objective with more strength.

I only have this one image.

As I said, I love the idea. I'm in agreement with some others here. The strength of this photo only makes up a small portion of the image, and the rest of the image doesn't support that theme.

I think if you created a panoramic view out of it by slicing off the top and bottom, you would have an excellent composition...

I like this better. The blue sky showing through is nice. My only change would be to follow the rule of thirds and place the base of the windmill on the 2/3 over, 2/3 down intersection.

Without looking at anyone else's comments, here is what I think...

A good dramatic image. I would like a little less of the black ground and I would like to see the entire silhouette of the water tower/weather vane thing (rather than just the top).

In summary, A very captivating photo.
