maybe we should add rude comments day to the "day off" and then leave comments using words like YUCK, GROSS, HOW COULD YOU DO THAT??, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?? ,etc
LOL :)

I have to admit...yes, I was getting a little bored with the same view of flowers hence "expanding" my vision of them. Look for something floral in places other than in a garden or in the wild...urban planters, go into a floral shop and ask if you can take pictures, outdoor vendors and farmers markets, candids of peeps with flowers, bring some inside and gather a still life, dry 'em out and work with them that way, pick a bloom and throw in on the ground, in the water...somewhere unexpected...and don't think I'm being grim and morbid here...I'm going to go see if anything new has been planted at the cemetery this evening. Some of the most beautiful places I have been were cemeteries, like the Bonaventure in Savannah,GA. I have also found some beautiful tombstones with floral carvings...
...remember...there is no DNMC...my point in starting this challenge was to create a place where a bunch of us could share, grow, and expand our lines of "vision" so to speak without getting hit up with crappy scores...we all know there are just loads of folks out there who will give a flower shot a rotten score, no matter how fab it is, simply because it is a flower...I'd like to think of this as a "haven" of sorts. |

OK, OK
I will need to find some juicy Japanese beetles, squish a few & serve 'em up on a pretty flower plate; then someone will be able to say YUCK! and not have it seem rude! LOL :)
Watch out tomorrow, it is Friday the 13th you know! :0
oooohhhhhhh!!!!!

Day 13 for Anni --- here you can say whatever you want about this one. Not a good shot ... but it's not floral.
Edit: I had to change it to the 13th day for Anni. LOL
And for those of you who can't understand this jumble. During the 30 day ordinary objects ... I planned to put all the injury aids in a pile and make a bonfire. The shots never really came out too well.
NO ... they're not really on fire. The fire pit (that this pyro started) is right in back. Some of those devices are rentals ... I can't afford to have that much fun.

Read the caption.....this pic is in honor of a regular person who was decent and kind enough to allow me to traipse around his spectacular yard and gardens to bring you some really lovely stuff.
I'll be calling these next few days' worth Walt's gifts. Thanks ever so much, Walt!

A couple of people have asked what this flower looks like from the side. I didn't get any good shots, but this does show the layers. Hopefully next time I see one I will have my tripod with me! |

Happy Friday the 13th everyone.
